The Detroit Police Department’s mission is to reduce crime and the fear of crime by working with all citizens to preserve life, maintain human rights, protect property, and promote individual responsibility and community commitment.

The 5-Point Plan is to assign more police on overtime in the areas of:

  • Increasing Police Presence 

  • Noise Code Violations

  • Parking Lot Owners Who Allow Parties

  • Drag Racing and Drifting

  • More Community Engagement
